Suguna Pumps and Motors have a leadership position in the motors and pumps industry and enjoy a strong customer loyalty. The group supplies Suguna brand pumps to over 300,000 customers every year.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Ever since its inception under the stewardship of Late Shri G Ramaswamy, its visionary chairman, the group has shown remarkable growth and recognition. At a time when electric motors were imported from UK and Germany, he founded Suguna industries at Coimbatore in 1958 to manufacture electric motors. Today the well-diversified group, headed by its Managing Director Shri V. Lakshminarayanasamy has innovative interests in Motors and Pumps, Machined components, pneumatic compressors, Foundry and Textiles.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">The Suguna Charitable Trust formed in 1973, has several projects in the field of education and health care, adding laurels to the group&#8217;s accomplishments.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">The activities of the Trust also include a free medical centre, a dental clinic it operates a multipurpose auditorium Suguna Kalyana Mandapam that cater to the needs of the community.
